In December/January 2019-2020, my husband and I embarked on a month-long camping adventure from Cape Town to the Nambian/Angolan border. ​It remains one of the most personally transformative journeys I have experienced, and the selection of writings on this page come from my regular practice of writing for (almost) all of the days on our road trip. Almost all of them were written in the front seat of our car or on a camping chair staring out into the abyss.
